Scar & Stretch Mark Treatments

If a scar or stretch mark draws your eye first, we can make it quieter. I work with two paramedical techniques, matched to your skin and goals.

Inkless Skin Revision v's Camouflage - What's the Difference?

Inkless Skin & Scar Revision

This innovative technique utilises the accuracy of a tattoo gun and fine needles to deliver medical-grade serum deep into the scar tissue. This serum works by stimulating your body's natural healing response, promoting collagen production and resurfacing the stretch mark or scar from within. This approach is ideal for raised or uneven surfaces and is usually a first step to reduce the size of the stretch mark or scar, enabling the body to do some of the hard healing work before we consider any colour tattooing. Inkless simply refers to not using any kind of colour.

Camouflage Tattoo

For scars that are flat but visible, we offer NUE Conceal colour-matched semi-permanent camouflage. This technique uses specialised INK pigments that are meticulously chosen to perfectly match your natural skin tone. We strategically tattoo these pigments into the scar, effectively blending it with the surrounding skin.

Both methods offer long-lasting results and a significant reduction in the appearance of scars, allowing you to feel more confident without the need to cover up.

We usually offer both as part of a complete treatment plan.

Why Inkless Skin Revision  (ISR) or Inkless Tattooing is game changing:

Inkless Skin Revision (ISR) treatments in our opinion are superior.

The advanced serum technology facilitates skin rejuvenation and enables scars to improve 60-80% without using any colour ink at all.

This means the skin is restored back very close to what is was like prior to injury. We are effectively healing the skin, rather than covering it. Afterwards you can continue to tan or self tan over the healed skin, because it's your own.

Pigment (Ink) treatments, are great for the final last touches. Blending any last colour differences or  imperfections into your own skin tone.

Tanning and self tanning is still possible, however where ink has been added will remain that same colour. It's ideal for areas that don't get exposed to a lot of sun.

Are You a Good Candidate For Inkless or Camouflage Tattooing?

We prioritise achieving natural, "camouflaged" results, so there are a few key factors we consider.

Think of your skin as a canvas – for optimal results, it needs to be suitable for the treatment. Here's what we look for:

White Scars & Stretch Marks

Ideally, your stretch marks should be white, indicating they've finished healing. Fresh or healing marks (pink, red, grey, or skin-coloured) aren't suitable for camouflage tattooing yet. We usually recommend waiting until they are 6months or older and in the mean time focus on Inkless to reduce the colour.

Flat & Smooth Texture

If your scars or stretch marks are white, flat and smooth with a similar texture to your natural skin, then you are an ideal candidate for either Inkless or Pigment camouflage tattooing. We will assess the size of the scaring and the area they are located before making a recommendation.

Raised or Coloured Scars

Most scars, are not flat or smooth and this is where we would always start with Inkless (ISR) skin revision tattooing.  This process uses medical grade serums to stimulate collagen production, to smooth and flatten your stretch marks before PIgment camouflage tattooing becomes a possibility.

What To Expect:

We move in stages for the most natural result. I’ll map a plan, explain options and timelines, and keep everything clear and on track:

  • Sessions: Most treatment plans are a series of visits, spaced 4-6 weeks apart.

  • Healing: Mild redness/tenderness for a few days it feels much like sun burn.

  • Colour match: If pigment is an option, this is colour matched to your skin tone with a pigment reading machine, and tweaked by eye for the perfect blend.

  • Realistic results: Aim is softer, quieter scars and stretch marks, not an instant obvious “erase.”

  • Review points: We reassess between appointments and adjust the plan as your skin responds

FAQ's

How soon after surgery can I start?

Most surgical scars need at least 6 months (often 12) before camouflage; ISR may be considered earlier on a case‑by‑case basis.

Is this suitable for darker skin tones?

Often yes, we are just extra careful with darker skin tones. We’ll assess in good light and plan the safest pathway.

How long do results last?

Inkless repairs your skin, so the results are therefore permanent. For camouflage most people choose a light refresh every few years to keep the blend looking natural.

It's a powerful reminder that this work isn't about vanity or covering up.
It's about helping real people find real results that change their lives.
